Responding to climate change is a priority for us. We explain in our 2015-2020 business plan how we will minimise the contribution of our operations to climate change and adapt our operations to the effects of climate change.
We are working hard not only to reduce our contribution to climate change and to increase our renewable energy production, but also to ensure we are not negatively affected by climate change.
Climate change is likely to result in hotter, drier summers, warmer, wetter winters and more extreme events such as heavy rainfall and storms. This presents us with both opportunities and threats. We work to better understand how we may be affected by climate change and take actions to protect our services. These actions include protecting our assets and increasing the flexibility of our networks.
