How do I close my account?

You can close your account anytime, provided it’s not more than 28 days in the future. All you'll need is your current postcode, and your new address and contact details to get started. If you're a metered customer we'll also need to make sure we get a final meter reading.

No problem at all, just let us know you’re not the bill payer during the moving process.

Don’t worry, you can still close your account. All the details you need can be found on your bill.

You should be told who supplies your new home during the moving process, however you can always check our supply area map.

Yes, simply advise us of their names during the moving process and we can update their details too. If you don’t know their details don’t worry, you can still proceed without them.

We need a final meter reading on the day you move home. If you’re unsure where your meter is located, visit our how to find your meter page.

You only need to read the black digits (or the ones highlighted in black). Please include any leading zeros and read the meter from left to right. Need help reading your meter? Visit our how to read your meter page.

Don’t worry if you can’t read the meter on the day, we’ll estimate the final bill based on your previous usage.
