The scheme started in June 2021 and is due to be completed by the end of January 2026.

Due to circumstances outside of our control the scheme has changed considerably due to a number of engineering complications associated with the scheme. We can now report that a solution has been agreed to overcome these complications and, at present, we are expecting to restart work in September 2024, following the summer period. Regrettably, the time taken to identify a solution to these engineering complications has impacted our previously estimated completion date of March 2025. We will now estimate the programme of work to be completed by January 2026.

Please be aware that although we will try to stick to this date it may change due to circumstances beyond our control. 

We understand the impact of this delay and remain committed to delivering a successful project that will future proof your water supply for future generations. We appreciate your ongoing patience and will continue to provide written updates as the project progresses. 

We are sorry for any nuisance we may be causing you during this work but please be assured that we and our contract partner Mott Macdonald Bentley, are doing our best to minimise the disruption.
