We’re investing in the future
We are investing over £2million pounds in Dimmingsdale Pumping Station. The site is a vital part of the network that supplies homes in the local area with clean drinking water. We are investing in the local supply to your area by undertaking maintenance and rehabilitation on the boreholes located, off Dimmingsdale Road to extend their lifespan. These improvements will prepare us for a changing climate, increasing demand and protect water supplies long into the future.
Off Dimmingsdale Road, Wolverhampton.
- In November/December, we’ll begin setting up a temporary site compound to provide safe and clean facilities for our team.
- You may notice a slight increase in traffic during this time as materials are delivered to the site.
- We will begin demolishing old buildings on site and removing old pipework.
- Full work will begin in January 2026 and continue until April 2027.
From time to time, we may need to carry out 24-hr working whilst we carry out some deep drilling. To reduce the impact on you and your neighbours, we’ll be installing acoustic barriers and screening to reduce noise and light from the activity on site. The site will be well monitored; we’ll be installing noise and vibration monitoring equipment on site.
