Cleobury Mortimer
Shropshire
We’re investing in Shropshire's future
We’re investing £11.5 million in a new wastewater treatment facility between the River Rea and Station Road, Cleobury Mortimer. This upgrade will improve water quality discharged into the River Rea and support the growing local community, while meeting current and future regulatory requirements.
The site is designed for future expansion to accommodate community growth. Before decommissioning the existing Millpool Place facility, a new pumping station and stormwater storage will be installed to maintain operations during construction.
A new pipe will connect the current and new sites, with residents notified in advance of any traffic impacts. While all work will remain within designated boundaries, increased traffic to and from the existing site is expected.
Construction begins Monday 30 June 2025, with more large vehicle deliveries and a crane on-site. A traffic management plan includes speed limits, holding areas, and off-peak scheduling to reduce disruption.
We appreciate your patience and will keep you informed throughout this essential project.
