Winchcombe project complete for Christmas

Severn Trent’s work in Winchcombe to replace more than a mile of water pipes is now complete, in time for Christmas.

The £200,000 investment for the town will give the people of Winchcombe a more reliable water supply and should mean fewer bursts and interruptions to the water supply.

Gareth Mead, from Severn Trent, said: “We’re really proud of this work in Winchcombe and we’re excited to be finished so the local people can start to see the benefits of this hard work. We were also happy that we finished in time for everyone to enjoy the Winchcombe Christmas Fayre.

“We really want to thank the people of Winchcombe for all the support and patience they’ve shown us as we worked in the town and also to the town council and local businesses for their continued support as we carried out this vital work.”

Severn Trent contractor partner Amey, has completed the work on behalf of the company.

Gareth added: “We hope the people of Winchcombe have a great Christmas and once again, thank you to everyone for your patience and support as we carried out this important work for your town.”
