On 1 April 2017, the retail water market for business customers changed. The process for getting a new water or sewer connection remains the same. Show Homes, temporary building supplies and site welfare facilities are eligible to switch between retailers, and although these connections are temporary, they still need a retailer.
These standards form part of the government initiative to publish levels of service for all utility providers. They cover the performance of water companies, dealing with a broad range of activities which are essential for housing development.
Water companies publish these standards to demonstrate their commitment to providing transparency about performance and to help drive improvements in levels of service. Performance is published quarterly. See how we're performing against these standards.
If you're already familiar with our processes for new connections and you know what type of new connection you require, simply download the application forms you need. We also have a number of guidance documents which you may want to read before applying or use as a reference throughout the process.
Ensure you meet the legal regulations which are required when connecting, using and maintaining pipes and water fittings inside homes and businesses.
