The circular route is currently closed due to upgrade works happening on the reservoir. We expect it to reopen Autumn 2026. (view map of closure).

Route access during construction
We’re carrying out our work in two phases to help keep things moving smoothly.
You’ll always be able to walk, run or cycle along part of the route—but there won’t be a way through the construction area, so you’ll need to turn back at that point and head back the way you came.
Project locations
- Phase 1: From Farborough Bank, Toft Bank and up to the Memorial Garden.
- Phase 2: From near the Sailing Club, along Hensborough Bank, Saddle Bank, Barn Bank, Draycote Bank up to Valve Tower.
- Completion: All construction work on the dams is expected to be finished by late 2026.

Why we're carrying out this work
We’re investing in Warwickshire's future
To make sure we can deliver clean drinking water to our customers when and where it’s needed, we need to carry out some essential upgrade work to our Draycote Water Reservoir to ensure it can meet the demands of a modern community.
We’re increasing the capacity of the reservoir so that we have enough water for all our customers during the increasingly hot summers.
