New Sewer connections

Drainage isn’t dull, it's pretty important. Whether you need to make a new connection to our sewers or are lucky enough to have an existing connection but you’re doing works which will change or increase the flows into our network, let us know.

Connections to our sewer network are completed by a contractor that you choose. Our job is to approve their work, to ensure we keep our network safe and satisfy the demand of all our customers.

Before you apply

There’re a few things you will need to do before you apply to us, but don’t worry. We have plenty of guidance for you and a dedicated team to help you with your application if you need any support.

Find the nearest drains and sewers that you can get to, to locate a suitable point of connection. A drainage contractor should be able to help at this point to survey local drainage. You can also request our sewer maps.

Consider sustainable ways to take away surface water, the rainwater that runs off your roof, driveway or patio or other impermeable areas. We can only accept surface water into our network when there are no alternatives avaiable. With your help we can look after the environment and prevent devasting flooding from affecting our customers.
