West Penkridge

Staffordshire

We’re investing in West Penkridge's future

As part of a major upgrade to the water network across Staffordshire, we’ll be replacing old water pipes in West Penkridge with new ones, starting in November. This essential work is part of our huge investment in the area to reduce the risk of leaks and bursts, improve reliability, and ensure your supply of wonderful water stays strong for generations to come.

We know there’s a lot happening across Staffordshire right now and this is one of several big infrastructure projects in the area. Over the next few years, we will be investing and upgrading in other areas in the county so we will be working closely with local partners to keep disruption to a minimum while we carry out this vital work.

Our team began work week commencing 17 November 2025. This was originally due to be under a road closure, however, following discussions with the local community this was amended to two-way lights on Bradley Lane.

As the work has progressed the safety of our workforce has been compromised, and it has been necessary to put an HGV diversion in place. We would ask all road users to be mindful of the safety of our workforce when driving through the traffic light system.

From Week commencing 1 December 2025, we will be adding an additional section of road works, also under two-way lights, which will enable us to complete the works in a shorter duration.

Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
