Stoke St. Milborough
Shropshire
We’re investing in Stoke St. Milborough's future
As part of a major upgrade to the water network across Shropshire, we’ll be replacing old water pipes in Stoke St. Milborough with new ones over the next few years, starting this month. This essential work is part of our huge investment in the region to reduce the risk of leaks and bursts, improve reliability, and ensure your supply of wonderful water stays strong for generations to come.
We know there’s a lot happening across Shropshire right now and this is one of several big infrastructure projects in the area. Over the next few years, we will be investing and upgrading in other areas in the county so we will be working closely with local partners to keep disruption to a minimum while we carry out this vital work.
Phase 1 -
Work will take place in phases - we’ll begin on the B4364 from Monday 20 October 2025. This phase will take approximately 5 months. During this period, there will be multi-way traffic lights in operation.
Phase 5 -
This work will take place from Monday 17 November 2025 between the junction of Stoney Lane onto the A4117, then to Clee Stanton Road.
We anticipate these works to take approximately 3 months, with work paused over the festive period. During these works, multi-way traffic lights will be in operation between the A4117 and Stoney Lane and there will be a road closure between Stoney Lane and Clee Stanton Road.
Phase 2 -
This phase will take place from Tuesday 09 December 2025 to Tuesday 19 May 2026 in 2 parts.
Little Wood Farm to Hopton Cangeford junction
09 December 2025 to 27 January 2026
Hopton Cangeford junction to Smith junction Middleton
27 January 2026 to 19 May 2026
Phase 6 -
We are hoping to start work from Monday 9 February to Friday 27 March beginning on the A4117 under 2-way traffic lights up to Stoney Lane. From here, we will move down Stoney Lane and a section of Snitton Lane. During this period, rolling road closures will be in operation.
Following the completion of this phase, we will be returning to carry out our additional work in the area over the coming months.
From Monday 30 March, the work will resume on Cleestanton Road, Bitterley and a road closure will be in operation. This phase of work will take approximately 3 weeks to complete.
Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
