Kneesall
Nottinghamshire
We’re investing in Kneesall's future
As part of a major upgrade to the water network across Nottinghamshire, we’ll be replacing old water pipes in and around Kneesall with new ones over the next few years, starting next month.
This essential work, totalling 7.4km, is part of our huge investment in the Midlands to reduce the risk of leaks and bursts, improve reliability, and ensure your supply of wonderful water stays strong for generations to come.
Work will take place in phases - we’ll begin on Ossington Road from Monday 22 September 2025, working our way to Kneesall Road. This phase will take approximately 7 months, incorporating a break over the festive season. During this period of work, there will be two-way traffic lights and road closures in operation in the working areas.
We will now reach the A616 on Monday 15 December 2025 - we’ll then start work on Eakring Road on Monday 5 January 2026. This phase will take approximately 5 months, incorporating a break over the festive season. During this period of work, there will be 2-way, multiway traffic lights and road closures in operation in the working areas.
The next phase of work will begin on Monday 20 April 2026 on Bilsthorpe Road under traffic lights. We anticipate these works to last approximately 6 weeks.
The next phase of work will begin on Monday 1 June 2026 on Wellow Road, Eakring under 2-way traffic lights for approximately 2 weeks.
We will then be starting works on the A616 between Ossington Road, Kneesall and School Lane under traffic lights on Monday 15 June 2026. These works will last approximately 4 weeks.
As we get to School Lane approximately 2 weeks into these works, there will be a road closure in place on to allow us to connect into the new main, which we anticipate taking no more than 2 weeks.
Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
