Craven Arms
Shropshire
We’re investing in Craven Arms' future
As part of a major upgrade to the water network across Shropshire, we’ll be replacing old water pipes in Craven Arms with new ones over the next few years, starting next month. This essential work, totalling 13km, is part of our huge investment in the region to reduce the risk of leaks and bursts, improve reliability, and ensure your supply of wonderful water stays strong for generations to come.
We know there’s a lot happening across Shropshire right now and this is one of several big infrastructure projects in the area. Over the next few years, we will be investing and upgrading in other areas in the county so we will be working closely with local partners to keep disruption to a minimum while we carry out this vital work.
Work will take place in phases - we’ll begin on Long Lane from Monday 12 January 2026. This phase will take approximately 5 weeks. During this period, there will be a road closure in operation.
Following the completion of this phase, we will be returning to carry out our additional work in the area over the coming months – the provisional full schedule of works will be confirmed in due course.
We are hoping to start work on Monday 9 March on Watling Street, SY7 8DX. We anticipate that these works will take approximately 8 weeks to complete and during this time, a road closure will be in operation.
Access to homes, businesses and emergency vehicles will always be maintained. Please bear with our team as they make the area safe for everyone.
Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
