Bingham Mains Renewal

Nottinghamshire

We’re investing in Bingham's future

As part of a major upgrade to the water network across Nottinghamshire, we’ll be replacing old water pipes in Bingham with new ones over the next few years, starting next month. This essential work is part of our huge investment in the Midlands to reduce the risk of leaks and bursts, improve reliability, and ensure your supply of wonderful water stays strong for generations to come.

We know there’s a lot happening across Nottinghamshire right now and this is one of several big infrastructure projects in the area. Over the next few years, we will be investing and upgrading in other areas in the county so we will be working closely with local partners to keep disruption to a minimum while we carry out this vital work.

Where and when we’ll be working

Work will take place in phases - we’ll begin on Maple Close from Monday 1 September 2025, moving on to Sycamore Close, Cedar Close, Rowan Close and Ash Close. This phase will take approximately 3 months – during this period, there will be give and take boards in operation in the working areas.

Work will begin on Monday 5 January 2026 on Grantham Road, from the junction of Dark Lane, towards the A52. From Monday 26 January 2026, Grantham Road will be closed until Friday 16 February. We will also be working on New Lane from Monday 26 January 2026 to Friday 6 March 2026 and this road will be closed for the duration, however access to the Prison will be maintained. Further works and timescales are listed below.

Please be aware that although we try to stick to these dates, they may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
