A sporting chance

There are grassroots football clubs across our region, each one helping to build strong, healthy communities. They give children a safe space to grow, learn teamwork and feel proud of where they come from.

But, even grassroots sometimes need a bit of water to thrive. That's why we've launched Kits for Kids, proudly supported by the Severn Trent Community Fund.

In its first year, Kits for Kids is focused on supporting teams based in Birmingham and Coventry. We'll learn what works best, and make sure the funding has real impact – so next year our support can go even further.

Review process

If we receive more applications than we’re able to support, we’ll aim to spread our funding fairly across the Birmingham and Coventry catchment areas. We’ll take into account the Government Indices of Multiple Deprivation, as well as the difference a new kit will make for the team.

What happens if you’re successful

We’ll give you a call to let you know the great news. Once you’ve verbally accepted the offer, we’ll pay the grant in one payment by BACS transfer into your organisation’s bank account. Payments will be received within a fortnight of award acceptance.

What happens if you’re unsuccessful

We’ll email you to let you know that we haven’t been able to support you this time.
