Severn Trent on the road to making a Big Difference in Leicester

Monday 6th March

Severn Trent will be out and about in Leicester thisweek to spread the word about the company’s Big Difference Scheme which could save customers money.

The Scheme, which is run in partnership with the Severn Trent Trust Fund and Citizen’s Advice, can save struggling customers up to 90 per cent off Severn Trent bills.

Staff from Severn Trent will be taking the firm’s mobile community office on the road to meet with people in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday next week to share more information about how to apply.

Mark Grice, from Severn Trent, said: “We’re heading out into Leicester to meet with as many people as possible to make them aware of the help on offer through the Big Difference Scheme.

“It’s aimed at people who are having a hard time making ends meet at the end of each month and has a range of measures that can help get them into a better financial position.

"Anyone who wants to find out more should come along and meet us next week to ask any questions they might have. We’ll also be out knocking on doors to speak to local people about the scheme.”

The team will be outside Better Bathrooms in Blackbird Road between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday 7 March and then at New Parks Leisure Centre in St Oswalds Road between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday 8 March.

Mark added: “You don’t have to be on benefits to apply as the Big Difference Scheme is for anyone who finds they’re struggling. We’ll be on hand to help people through the application process and to give them an idea of how much they could save by applying for the scheme.”
