Severn Trent to meet with Nottingham locals at ‘Winter Warm’ event

Severn Trent is inviting Nottingham locals to its ‘Winter Warm’ event next week.
The company is putting on the free event to meet with customers to share ways of saving money, and will be joined by organisations such as Nottingham City Council and the Fire and Rescue Service which will also be providing useful advice for getting safely through winter.
Sonia Kainth, External Relationships Co-ordinator from Severn Trent and who’s organising the event, said: “Winter and Christmas can be a challenging time for some of our customers, so we want to help take the pressure off by organising this event where we can meet with them and hopefully help them save money over the winter months.
“Some of our customers may not know what support may be available to them, so this event is the perfect opportunity to find out where we can help.”
Severn Trent is running the event at Bakersfield Community Centre in Sneinton Dale on Thursday 13th December between 11am and 2pm ,and will be joined by around 14 other Nottingham organisations.
The company will be on hand to talk with customers about its Watersure and Big Difference schemes, as well as the Severn Trent Trust Fund, all designed to provide Severn Trent customers with financial support if they need it, and will also talk about its Priority Services Register, which is a service provided that helps customers who need water 24/7, or who require alternative bills or password protection schemes.
“We want our customers to know we’re here to help, so it’s a brilliant opportunity for them to pop in and have a chat with us, and see if we can save them some money off their water bill,” adds Sonia. “It would be great for people to come see us on the day, we’re hoping we’ll be able to make a real difference to someone’s Christmas by helping them save money or by providing useful advice that will benefit them for the future.”
