Severn Trent to hold customer drop-in event about water network upgrades in Kibworth

Friday 13 May 2022

Severn Trent customers are being invited to a drop-in session to find out more about a major scheme to upgrade the water network in Kibworth near Leicester.

The water company is investing £3 million to replace five kilometres of existing water pipes across the Leicestershire village, to help reduce the number of leaks and bursts in the area.

Work have already started work on Fleckney Road and teams will be continuing across the Fleckney Road/Wistow Road junction from 20 May 2022, then moving onto Wistow Road where they will work back through private land.

Now customers are being encouraged to attend a drop-in session that will take place at St Mary Magdalene Church on Wednesday 18 May from 3.30pm until 6.30pm to find out more about the project.

Lisa Orme from Severn Trent, said: “Customers in Kibworth deserve a modern water supply that they can rely on. That’s why we’re making this investment to prevent future leaks and bursts.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to minimise any disruption while we’re working in the area. We’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding as we get this essential work done as quickly and as safely as possible.

“Our drop-in session is a great chance for customers to ask us any questions about the work and for us to find out more about your area. Feedback from our customers is really important to us – so we’d love to see you there.”
