Severn Trent invites people to learn traditional skill at Tittesworth Water

Tuesday 20th February 2018

Severn Trent is inviting people to take part in an event at Tittesworth Water this Saturday.

The visitor centre based in Staffordshire, is running a unique class to teach people all about the traditional skill of hedge laying.

Andrew Mayland, Ranger at Tittesworth Water said: “This is ideal for anyone who’s looking to have a bit of fun as well as learning a new skill.

“These events are really popular, and Tittesworth is such a fantastic site to visit, so we’d really encourage people to book on if it sounds like something they’d enjoy.”

The class will be on Saturday 24th February from 10am till 3pm, and costs £40.

To book your spot, call the team on 01538 300188 or email andrew.mayland@severntrent.co.uk.

“It’s a great way to spend the day, and when we’ve finished, we have a café and shops on site as well as the rest of the beautiful reservoir to see - so you can really make a day of it up here.

“All we ask is you wear sensible outdoor clothing, including sturdy boots and bring a packed lunch and we’ll provide the rest,” added Andrew.
