Severn Trent begins network upgrade in Broom

Tuesday 9th November 2021

Severn Trent has begun essential work to upgrade the water network in Broom, providing customers in the area with a modern and reliable water supply for years to come.

The water company is investing almost £60,000 in the Warwickshire village, to replace 300 metres of ageing water pipes with brand new ones, to improve reliability and help reduce the number of leaks and bursts in the area.

Work has begun on Broom High Street and will take approximately one month to complete.

Catherine Webb from Severn Trent, said:”Customers in Broom deserve a modern water supply that they can rely on. That’s why we’re making this investment, which will benefit the local community for generations to come.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to minimise any disruption while we’re working in the area. We’d like to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding as we get this essential work done.”

To keep Severn Trent engineers and other road users safe, a temporary road closure will be in place on the High Street throughout the project. Access to businesses and properties will be maintained at all times.
