Our work in Caunton has finished early – no more work needed in the New Year

We're delighted to report that all of the work in and around Caunton, was finished in time for Christmas, so there is no need to do any more work in January as previously planned.

The work, which started in October last year, and was due to be complete at the end of January, is part of a £800,000 scheme to replace nearly two miles of pipes, and will make water supplies much more secure in future.

Helen Purdy, explains how they’ve achieved it: “Some customers were quite concerned about how this work would affect them, but our teams worked really hard to get the work close to Norwell Rd and Ossington Road finished before Christmas so we didn’t get in the way of the festivities.  As they were so quick, we even managed to get the work we’d planned to do in January finished too – and with traffic lights instead of a road closure, to help out local traffic.

“We know when we carry out work that it can be disruptive to our customers, and we’re always checking to make sure we’re working in the most efficient way, so we’re delighted that we’ve managed to finish this work earlier than planned.  We’re pleased to say that all of the work is now finished and the new pipes will supply wonderful water to our customers for decades to come.”
