A quacking time for families at Severn Trent’s reservoirs this Feb half term

Friday 13th February 2026

Severn Trent is launching ‘Quacky Quests’ this half-term at its visitor sites to give families and children the chance to become Duck-tectives.

The new beaky stars of Severn Trent adverts are Sally and Martin, a pair of cute, chatty and funny ducks.

Now the water company is calling on ‘quack teams’ to track down hidden cardboard cut-outs of mallards at their visitor sites and return them safely to the Visitor Centre team – to win a sweet treat.

The fun quest runs over half -term, from Saturday 14th to Sunday 22nd February.

Donna Marshall, Senior Visitor Engagement Officer at Severn Trent, said: “We’re on the look-out for our best duck-tectives to help us find our feathery friends.

“Whether you’re just out for a walk or making the most out of the amazing facilities we have at our visitor sites, keep your eyes peeled for our missing mallards!

“If you’re lucky enough to find one you will be able to claim a sweet treat so we’re encouraging everyone to get involved and have some fun this half-term.”

Severn Trent’s visitor sites have a number of different activites families can get involved in, from nature trails, to water sports and restaurants on site which overlooks the reservoirs, they’re the perfect place to enjoy a bite to eat or a cuppa and relax after a day full of fun.
