How can I pay my bill?

Paying your water bill has never been simpler thanks to our wide range of payment methods. Simply choose the option that works for you.

Quick, simple, secure. We accept all major debit and credit cards for online payments. We do not accept American Express. To make a payment, either login if you're an existing customer or set up an online account with us today.

You can make regular weekly or monthly payments by setting up a payment plan online. You can also choose from a number of payment methods including Direct Debit or Watercard.

Direct Debit is the easiest and most convenient way to make sure your bill is always paid in full and on time. Set up your Direct Debit now or call us on 03457 500 500.     

If you would prefer to pay over the counter at your bank or building society, don’t forget to take your bill with you. If paying by cheque, please make payable to Severn Trent Water Ltd. This service is free at most banks, however we recommend you always check first.

Simply take your bill or Watercard, along with your payment, to your nearest PayPoint store.

Take your bill along with your preferred payment method (cash, cheque or card) to any Post Office branch. Please be aware that the Post Office may charge you for this service.

You can make regular or one-off payments by debit or credit card by calling us on 03457 500 500. We do not accept American Express. You can also request to pay by instalments using a Watercard, Direct Debit or Payment booklet.

Enter the amount you’d like to pay on your payment slip and pop it in the post along with your cheque to: Severn Trent Water Payments, Po Box 12802, Harlow, CM20 9RF. Cheques should be made payable to Severn Trent Water Ltd. and please write your Severn Trent Water account number on the back. Allow up to four working days for any cheque payments to reach our account.

If you're a non-Direct Debit customer, you can pay your bill using the Barclays Pingit app on your smartphone. Available to everyone, just download the app and scan the QR code on your bill.

Set up and manage your payments using your bank’s telephone, online or remote banking service. Simply provide them with the following information:

  • Our bank sort code: 20-00-00
  • Our bank account number: 23285790
  • Your Severn Trent Water account number (you’ll find this on your paperwork)

If you receive Income Support, Jobseeker's Allowance, Employment Support Allowance (ESA), Pension Credit or Universal Credit, the Job
Centre Plus might be able to arrange for your water bill to be paid out of your benefits. Apply here.
