Meter reading prize draw

Entry to the competition is free. To be entered into the competition you will need to submit a completed survey form by clicking the survey link that appears after entering your meter reading online.

Start date for entries is 22nd January 2024 at 01:00 Closing date for entries is 31 March 2024 at 23:00. Entries will not be accepted after this time.

It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that they have read and abided by these terms and conditions. By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to comply with these terms and conditions. Any entry found not to comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified. In such instances, any prizes will be forfeited.

The decision by Severn Trent on all matters relating to the competition is final and binding. No discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

Severn Trent reserves the right to suspend or modify the competition in whole or in part at any time without notice and without liability. Severn Trent’s decision in all matters is final and binding and correspondence will not be entered into.

The competition is only open to residents of England who are customers of Severn Trent.

Entrants will need to have a registered account with Severn Trent and be named as the account holder.

The competition excludes those involved in Severn Trent Water Limited’s or HD’s organisation, employees of STW or HD and Severn Trent Group companies.

Severn Trent reserve the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant and to refuse entry at its discretion.

Entrants must be 18 years or older when entering the competition online.

Entrants can only enter the competition once and one entrant can only enter per household.

To enter the competition, entrants must submit a completed survey form by clicking the survey link presented to them following entering a meter reading. Participants will be asked to provide a name and email address, in order to contact them on the occasion that they are determined to be a winnner. This email address must be present on an active Severn Trent online account.

By ticking the box at the end of the survey, entrants consent to these terms, along with our data processing policy.    

Entries received after the Competition Period will not be included in the competition.

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received in the Competition Period.

The Winner will be notified by Severn Trent between 1 April 2024 and 30 April 2024 by the email address provided upon entry.

ST cannot be held responsible for any restrictions or issues with entering the competition.

Each entrant should take their own adequate measures to protect against viruses, security or any  regret that they cannot accept liability for any:

• Third parties to fulfil the obligations involved in this competition.
• Failure of entrants to comply with the competition rules.
• Nothing in this clause is intended to exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for any matter for which it is not permitted by law to exclude or limit, or to attempt to exclude or limit its liability.

ST will not be responsible for any entries not received by it for any reason, by the end of the Competition Period. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes any entries that are lost, delayed due to technical difficulties or malfunctions.

ST is a “controller” of personal data of competition entrants and we ensure that personal data is processed in line with data protection laws (the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Data Protection Act 2018 (“DPA”)).

ST will hold and process all personal data as stated in the Prize Draw Privacy Notice and the Customer Promise found here  

Personal data will only be retained as per the retention schedule and no longer than twelve (12) months after sending the Prize.

By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions to the exclusion of all others.

Each clause in these terms and conditions operates separately. If any part of found by a court to be unreasonable or unenforceable the other parts will continue to apply.

These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
