Report a bereavement

It can be a difficult time when somebody you care about dies. We’re here to help and we want to support you as you get things sorted.

 

Getting started

There are several ways you can contact us to discuss a bereavement. However you choose to inform us, our team will handle it with care and compassion.

If you’d prefer to use the website to tell us that a customer has died, please answer the following questions about the person and their Severn Trent account. Our team will then be able to update the account.

Please answer relevant questions below

[1] The account will remain open, and bills will still be sent to address/charges will be accumulated onto the account for water usage.

[2] The account will either be transferred into the new occupant(s) name or closed and a new account opened.

 

 

If the property is rented

Please provide the contact details of the Landlord/Local Authority/Housing Association, if available.
