We're delivering for customers AND maintaining the lowest bills in Britain

This morning (23 May) we've released our annual results, showing we've had another good year by putting customers at the heart of our business, delivering real value for money and offering the lowest average combined bills in Britain for the eighth year running.

We've outperformed against a range of targets that matter the most to our customers, including reducing sewer flooding and supply interruptions.

Liv Garfield, CEO, said: “Customers are at the heart of everything we do and I'm delighted we’ve been able to deliver significant improvements in the things they care most about. Sewer flooding is down, and we’ve also cut both supply interruptions and leakage. We’ve done this while maintaining the lowest average combined bills in Britain, at less than £1 a day, and at a time when we’re also helping more than 50,000 customers who need it most through a variety of initiatives. We’re really proud of these results which are testament to the hard work of my colleagues over the past year.”

We've also pledged to invest £6.2billion between 2015 and 2020, which is around £1,400 for every home and business property in the Severn Trent region, to further improve services.

One of the biggest projects for us is the Birmingham Resilience Project which will see around £300million being spent to make water supplies for the city more resilient.

Liv added: “We know there’s still more to do to make sure we’re consistently providing a great service to all of our customers every day, but we’re really pleased with our strong performance this year and we aim to build on this going forward.”
