Severn Trent is supporting the Coventry and Warwickshire Business Festival for a second time this year by running a special workshop designed to help promote innovation in the water industry.

Building on the success of last year’s leakage design sprint and hackathon, Severn Trent will offer local businesses the opportunity to help shape and influence how the company operates using innovation.

Dr Bob Stear, Deputy Chief Engineer at Severn Trent, said “Last year’s event was absolutely fantastic in bringing a wide range of people together to use each other’s expertise to explore new and innovative ways to find leaks. 

“We want to build on that success this year and utilise the expertise and knowledge within the region, to help us address the breadth of our innovation needs.”

Severn Trent will be sharing with participants some of the challenges the company, and the industry, face, and exploring new and innovative ways to improve customer experience.

“We’re really looking forward to exploring new, innovative ideas that we can use to help improve what we do as a business,” adds Bob. “Our industry is ever-evolving, so this festival is key in making sure we’re keeping ahead and putting our customers first by exploring new and innovative technology.”

As well as sharing industry challenges, Severn Trent will be hosting an interactive session with the support of The Future Water Association, which will allow businesses to engage and contribute to the company’s innovation needs.
