How to open, update or close your account when you move home
There's a lot to think about when you move home. One of the things you will need to do is tell your water company that you are moving. We want to make this as easy as possible, so it's one less thing to worry about on moving day.

There are three different things you might be doing on moving day. You could be moving into the Severn Trent region, moving around the area, or leaving the region. Whatever you're doing, you can quickly tell us about your move online.
If you are moving in to the area you will need to get in touch with us to confirm your details and set up your account. If you are moving within the area then you can update your account details on our website. If you're leaving the area altogether, you will need to give us the date you're moving out so we can arrange your final bill.

Your water might taste or smell different in your new home
When you move home, your water may taste a little different. This is normally nothing to worry about. It's most likely due to a change of minerals in the water in that area. Or it could be the water in your new home is harder or softer than it was in your previous home.
