In My Area

Teversal Village

We’re installing a brand new public sewerage system in Teversal Village. By connecting properties to a public sewer we can protect the environment, public health and give peace of mind to the residents of these communities.

Our progress so far

Between 2015 and 2020 Severn Trent has invested in providing new sewerage systems to rural communities where existing private drainage is causing harm to the environment or a risk to public health. By connecting these properties to a public sewer we can protect the environment, public health and give peace of mind to the residents of these communities.

UPCOMING

Road closure

Unfortunately we’ll need to close a section of Buttery Lane while we install a connection. This is from 5 to 18 October 2020 and will be between the old railway bridge to just past the river crossing.

Upcoming work

This work is due to start week commencing 21 September 2021 and the new system should be up and running by July 2021.

This project is a big undertaking and we apologise in advance for any disruption it causes. The work will involve:

  • Building and kitting out the pumping station
  • Creating an access road to the site
  • Installing the main sewer pipe through the village
  • Installing vacuum ‘pots’ to enable properties to connect.

We’ll be working through fields, on roads and on footpaths and the work areas will always be barriered off for safety. We will of course maintain access to properties and we’ll come and speak to you if we’re near your house or business.
