This week, our team have been busy with the final reinstatements of the road leading to Richards Castle and along the road adjacent All Saints Church, we are pleased to announce that the road closure has now been lifted along B4361 full vehicle access has now been restored. During the coming weeks, we will undertake a number of remedial works along sections of the B4361 between Overton and Richards Castle, this work will be undertaken using stop and go boards and signs and barriers. Works along Mitnell Lane will take place from week commencing Tuesday 29 May for a period of approximately 3 weeks, we will work closely with direct affected residents during this remaining phase of work

Work completed
Wheatcommon Lane

This week, works have been slow moving due to the recent adverse weather conditions and sub zero temperatures we have experienced. From week commencing Monday 5 March, works will continue from Moor Park School working towards the direction of Wheatcommon Lane, the road will be fully closed just past the entrance of the school. Access for school traffic and residents of Overton, will now be available via Policeman’s Corner B4361 direction.

We're continuing to progress well this week along B4361 with the use of a road closure in place for safety of our team and the public. Work has progressed past Moor Park School and will continue during next week around this part of the road. Our team onsite will keep all access open to frontages within the closure as much as possible. We have a diversion in place and additional signs for Moor park school visitors to follow. Next week our reinstatement team will work hard to back fill and tarmac the road between Overton and the main entrance for the school. You may have noticed a drop in water pressure or loss in supply during the past week, the old water main we are replacing had burst on two occasions and teams from Severn Trent undertook emergency repairs and restored supplies as quickly as possible.

Works commenced on Monday 12 February, to install new water pipes from Overton Farm working towards Richards Castle direction. To allow for this work to be completed safely, a road closure will be in place along B4361, alternative access will be in place via a sign posted diversion route.
