Newark Waste and Water Improvement Project

We're investing £60 million over the next four years to upgrade Newark's sewerage and water system to help protect homes and businesses from sewer flooding

What's our Progress?

We'll be working in Newark over the next four years- watch our video for more information

Progress of our work

We launched the biggest tunnel boring machine in Newark as part of the waste and water overhaul in the town. The ‘Siege Breaker’ weighs a huge 160 tonnes, which is one-and-a-half times as heavy as a blue whale, and is 75 metres in length. It will be making its way underground from Crankley Point, to Millgate.

Why are we doing this?
