In My Area
Why we're doing this work
Every so often, we need to carry out essential maintenance work. We are installing a temporary filter plant capable of treating 50 litres of water per second to allow us to complete essential maintenance. This will enable us to increase the amount of water we can produce from site which is particularly important during hot weather periods. This will also increase resilience within the network. Whilst the site is running on the temporary filter plant, we will make the most of this time by completing some other upgrades to the treatment works.
This work is taking place at the Kinnerley Water Treatment Works, Kinnerley, Oswestry, SY10 8DJ.
During this work, you will notice an increase in general activities and deliveries in the area. This means that there will be some increased noise on site between Monday to Friday 7.30am to 18.00pm.
When the work is taking place
The work will start on site from 22 March 2021 and is due to be completed by the end of March 2022.
Please be aware that although we will try to stick to this date it may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
We are now 25% through the planned works.
The temporary treatment site has been completed and we are now ready to accept delivery of our temporary treatment plant. Local residents should start to see levels of heavy construction traffic subside over the coming weeks as we complete the installation and transition from a construction to an operational environment.
