In My Area

Green Lane, Walsall Wood

We have been working in the area to replace a defective pumped sewage main and install a new pumping station. This work will involve the excavation of a 10-meter shaft for storing foul water before it is pumped in the newly installed main to the treatment works. This work is essential to protect the environment from pollution.

Our progress so far

We have been working in the area to replace a defective pumped sewage main. During the next phase of the work, we need to move and abandon the existing pumping station. The new one will be within Severn Trent land and will involve the excavation of a 10-meter shaft for storing foul water before it is pumped in the newly installed main to the treatment works.

This work is essential to protect the environment from pollution.

Start date

Upcoming work

The work will start on the 18th January 2021 and our aim is to complete by the middle of August 2021.

You will notice an increase in general activities and deliveries in the area. This means that there will be some increased noise on site between Monday to Friday 7.30am to 17.30pm. We may on occasions have lifting or concrete pouring works which may mean we need to work a little longer into the evening. The majority of the work is taking place at our site entrance of Green Lane.

Please be aware that although we will try to stick to this date it may change due to circumstances beyond our control.
