In My Area
Our progress so far
We’re going to be replacing some of the ageing pipes in your area and this means we need to cross the beautiful countryside that surrounds your villages.
During our investigations we’ve come across some discoveries that are fascinating for the area but unfortunately are hampering our progress. We’ve identified several great crested newt habitats and areas of archaeological interest relating to an iron age settlement.
These discoveries mean that we need to do further exploration and work with organisations such as Historical England, Natural England and the local authority in order to find a safe and secure route for the replacement pipe that won’t affect these sensitive areas. It also means that the timing of the work might be restricted.
We will of course keep you updated and we really appreciate your patience while we work to secure your water supply whilst protecting the area you live in.
