Can I change back to unmeasured charges?

Your charges

This depends on when your meter was fitted. For example:

  • If you moved into a property that already has a meter, we cannot remove it.
  • If the meter was fitted more than 24 months ago, and you were the customer who originally requested the meter to be fitted, we cannot remove it.
  • If the meter was fitted less than 24 months ago and you were the customer who originally requested the meter to be fitted, we are able to revert your charges to Rateable Value. However, the meter itself would remain at the property.
  • If the meter was fitted prior to December 1995 and you are the customer who originally requested the meter to be fitted and paid for the installation, you are able to revert back to unmeasured charges

*(Exceptions to this are if the rateable value is no longer valid or if the property has a swimming pool or a sprinkler is used)
