Harnessing wind

We have started a long term programme aiming to install commercial scale wind turbines across a number of our sites, wherever they are viable.

Currently we are carrying out wind monitoring, environmental surveys, consultations and outline design to build up a better understanding of the sites we are hoping to develop. With the complexities associated with planning, grid connection and the availability of the wind turbines themselves, we expect the first electricity will be generated in 2011. We do hope to be in a position to submit our first turbine planning applications within 2009.
