Be Smart

Welcome to the Severn Trent Water ‘Be Smart Award’ scheme for Schools.

image of be smart logoThis scheme will enable you and your pupils to gain a highly prestigious award for your school whilst meeting your National Curriculum requirements to study water.

The scheme is designed to fit in with your needs in the classroom and could be achieved by you and your class in one school term. The Be Smart Award must be completed within this academic year.

It provides a focus for your work on water but gives you the freedom to organise the pace and level to suit your class. The Severn Trent Water Education team will be on hand with resources and advice to support you through the process.

Several of the schools that have already completed the award have commented that the Be Smart Award complements and supports several schemes and initiatives such as Eco-Schools, Healthy Schools programme and the Sustainable Schools framework.

BeSmart Award The 'Be Smart Award' is part of Severn Trent Water's commitment to working within the community.

Only schools receiving water or waste water services from Severn Trent Water are eligible to apply for the award.

Severn Trent Water make no charge to schools participating in the Award scheme.
