Local community congratulate Severn Trent
Following the re-opening of Wilford Bridge in Nottingham on the 12th February, Severn Trent Water has received many emails and letters thanking and congratulating the company on its efforts. Our customers’ comments have further proved to us the importance of this bridge within the community and we would like to share this feeling of celebration with you-
“Just wanted to say how great it is that the bridge is now reopen- many of us at County Hall use it for a lunchtime walk to get some fresh air and my family and I use it a lot to cycle over. Thanks for the achievement- it looks great too!”- Linda
“It was with great happiness that on Friday I could use my bike and trailer again across the suspension bridge. I had missed using it enormously and had to make many extra miles over the last 19 months to go around the toll bridge to get to my destination…I want to say a big thank you to you and your staff for making the bridge not only look so good, but also making it more accessible for people with double buggies and bike trailers…I realise that it has not been easy for anyone involved, so thank you for persevering and getting such a good result.”- Karina
“It has been very good to see so many different people using the bridge again and clearly very much enjoying being able to do so… I have noticed lots of people lingering on or near the bridge to admire the changes. On behalf of all those involved in the campaign to reopen the bridge, please convey our warmest thanks and appreciation to all those involved in the project.”- Hugh
“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for undertaking and completing the repair and restoration work to the suspension bridge. I braved the bitterly cold weather to see it opened and am very glad that this link with the city has now been reopened… I trust that with the help of Nottingham City and County Councils it will now be regularly maintained and we will not have to be without this link for such a long time again. Thank you again”- Adrian
